Peter Harrison and his wife Jackie have lived in their 1930’s semi-detached in for 50 years. Semi-retired Peter had built a timber structure with a plastic roof on the back of the house 15 years ago but this was now old and deteriorating and was blocking the light into the house from their North facing garden. In addition to increasing the light, their needs were for shelter rather than shade, enabling them to sit out during the cooler months.

Whilst visiting their local garden centre Coolings, in Knockholt Kent, they came across the Shaded Cube stand and were instantly impressed by what they saw. They were drawn to the Terrazza Glass Roof which would let in a lot more light than their current structure. The Harrisons checked other companies and compared technical specifications but were drawn back to Shaded Cube.

What was the installation and service experience like for Peter?

“We were very impressed from start to finish. Shaded Cube worked to our timescales and were extremely positive and responsive throughout the process. Minor snags were dealt with promptly and courteously.”

Are the Harrisons’ happy with the results?

“Absolutely, as well as enjoying more light inside the house, the glass roof has improved the appearance immensely, both from inside and out in the garden. Combined with a new glass balustrade, our terrace is now somewhere where we can sit and enjoy the garden even in the cooler months.

The design and quality of the product is good, and combined with the skill of the installation, we are very happy with the Terrazza Glass Roof.”
